Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-06-30

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how OptionsGym ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information in connection with the website located at optionsgym.fyi (the "Website") and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Website, or by submitting your email address to us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

1. Data Controller

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the "GDPR") and applicable data protection law, the data controller responsible for your personal data is Aleksei Medvedev, established in Cyprus (the "Controller"). Where this Policy refers to "personal data", it means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Contact details for the Controller are set out in Section 13.

2. Information We Collect

We collect and process the following limited categories of information:

(a) Email address. We collect your email address only where you voluntarily provide it to us by subscribing to receive lesson updates and communications regarding the Service. Provision of your email address is optional and is not required to access the Website.

(b) Aggregated usage data. We collect anonymous, aggregated statistical information about use of the Website, such as page views and the relative popularity of individual lessons, by means of privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. Such information is aggregated and does not identify you as an individual.

We do not collect your name, postal address, telephone number, payment details, brokerage account information, or any other financial information. The Service operates using simulated ("play money") values only and is not connected to any brokerage account or live trading facility.

3. Purposes of Processing and Legal Bases

We process personal data only for specified purposes and on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR:

(a) To send communications. We process your email address in order to send you lesson updates, new releases, and related news about the Service. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you provide at the point of subscription and which you may withdraw at any time as described in Section 9.

(b) To operate and improve the Service. We process anonymous usage data in order to understand how the Website is used and to improve its content. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in operating, securing, and improving the Service. Because this data is anonymous and is collected without cookies, it does not require your consent.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We do not use tracking, profiling, or advertising cookies for our own purposes, and our analytics are cookieless by design. We may use strictly necessary cookies solely where required for the Website to function correctly, and never for tracking. Where third-party content (such as an embedded affiliate banner or widget) is displayed on the Website, that third party may set its own cookies or similar technologies; where such cookies require consent under applicable law, we will request your consent before they are placed. See Section 5 regarding affiliate links.

5. Affiliate Links and Advertising

The Website may contain affiliate links and promotional banners relating to third-party products or services, including but not limited to TradingView. Where you click such a link and subsequently register for or purchase a third-party service, we may receive a commission or other compensation, at no additional cost to you. Such links and banners are provided for convenience and informational purposes and do not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or investment advice. Any third-party website you access via such a link operates independently, under its own terms of use and privacy policy, over which we have no control. Any personal data you provide to such third parties is governed by their privacy policies and not by this Policy, and we encourage you to review those policies before providing any information.

6. Third-Party Links

The Website may contain links to other websites that are not operated or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of any third-party website. Accessing such websites is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and policies.

7. Disclosure of Data and Use of Processors

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not disclose it to advertisers. We engage the following processor to provide the Service:

Buttondown acts as our email service provider and processes subscriber email addresses on our behalf in order to deliver communications and to operate unsubscribe functionality. Such data may be stored on servers located in the United States. Buttondown's processing is governed by its own privacy policy, available at buttondown.com/legal/privacy.

Our analytics are self-hosted, and aggregated usage data is therefore not disclosed to any third-party analytics provider. We may disclose personal data where required to do so by law or by a competent regulatory or judicial authority.

8. International Data Transfers

The Website is operated from Cyprus and is accessible worldwide. Where you subscribe to our communications, your email address may be transferred to and stored in the United States by our email service provider. By submitting your email address, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in a country outside your country of residence, including a country that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. We take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

9. Data Retention and Withdrawal of Consent

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our communications. You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time, without charge, by using the unsubscribe link included in every email or by contacting us using the details in Section 13. Upon unsubscription or a valid request for erasure, we will remove your email address from our active mailing list. Aggregated usage data is retained in anonymous form only and cannot be attributed to any individual.

10. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, and in particular where the GDPR applies, you have the right to: (a) request access to the personal data we hold about you; (b) request rectification of inaccurate data; (c) request erasure of your data; (d) request restriction of, or object to, our processing; (e) request the portability of your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format; and (f) withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 13. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU Member State of your residence or place of the alleged infringement. In Cyprus, the competent authority is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service concerns financial concepts and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from any person under the age of sixteen (16). If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete such data. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us using the details in Section 13.

12. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Contact and Complaints

If you have any question regarding this Policy or wish to exercise your rights, you may contact the Controller at privacy@optionsgym.fyi. As noted in Section 10, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect. Your continued use of the Website following the posting of changes constitutes your acknowledgement of the amended Policy.
