Most options education sells you a dream: easy income, a few clicks, passive cash flow. Then it quietly hands you the strategies most likely to wipe you out. OptionsGym was built to do the opposite.
How it started
I'm Aleksei, but most people just call me Lex. I work as a software developer at a brokerage. From the inside, I kept seeing the same pattern: regular people discover options, get pulled in by the promise of income, and learn about risk only after it has already cost them. The tools taught buttons, not consequences.
I am a retail investor myself, and I think about markets the way Nassim Taleb writes about them. The rare event is what matters. The tail is where you live or die. The first job is to not blow up. I wanted an options trainer built on that idea first, not as a footnote. I could not find one, so I built it.
What it is
OptionsGym is a risk-first options trainer. Instead of telling you that selling premium is dangerous, it lets you feel it in a simulation, on play money, before it ever touches your real account. Short, interactive lessons, one dangerous truth at a time. No signals. No hot tips. No get-rich-quick.
The promise is simple: learn how options really work, and how to not end up on the wrong side of the trade.
